Our client, a leading organization in the beauty and consumer products industry, is seeking a Packaging Engineer I to join their team. As a Packaging Engineer I, you will be part of the Packaging Engineering Department supporting the Consumer Products Division Operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate curiosity, organization, and eagerness to learn, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Packaging Engineer I

Location: El Segundo, CA

Pay Range: $35/hr - $40/hr

What's the Job?

  • Support packaging development, testing, and sustainability initiatives for new materials and components
  • Prepare and set up test requests, evaluate test reports, and coordinate data requests to inform project decisions
  • Maintain project documentation, perform data cleanup, and ensure accurate records in project files and systems
  • Assist in sustainability efforts, including recyclability checks and supporting L4TF initiatives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as R&I, Supply Chain, and Quality to support project implementation from concept to launch

What's Needed?

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed degree in Packaging, Mechanical, Materials Engineering, or equivalent
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in packaging engineering or related fields
  • Proficiency in business-level English communication skills
  • Strong skills in packaging and materials testing, data management, and project support
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and support sustainability initiatives
