About the Role
Experis is seeking a Content Operations & Automation Specialist to support digital content publishing, quality assurance, workflow management, and process automation for a large enterprise environment.
This is a hybrid content and technology role. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing digital content and CMS workflows while also being comfortable using Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, or another scripting language to automate repetitive processes and improve operational efficiency.
You will work closely with both technical and non-technical teams to ensure content is accurate, properly formatted, published on schedule, and maintained throughout its lifecycle.
What You’ll Do
Digital Content Operations
- Prepare, publish, update, and maintain digital content using enterprise CMS/publishing platforms.
- Manage content throughout the publishing lifecycle, including intake, metadata preparation, QA, ingestion, release, and maintenance.
- Review content for accuracy, completeness, formatting, metadata, and compliance with established requirements.
- Coordinate publishing activities across multiple teams, platforms, and priorities.
- Track content issues, dependencies, risks, and publishing deadlines.
- Support content updates, migrations, releases, and ongoing maintenance.
- Follow established workflows, checklists, documentation, and quality standards.
Workflow Automation
- Identify repetitive manual processes that can be improved through automation.
- Develop, modify, troubleshoot, and maintain scripts using Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, or another scripting language.
- Build practical automation solutions that improve content publishing, QA, validation, reporting, or operational workflows.
- Work with existing scripts and automation tools and identify opportunities for optimization.
- Use APIs, data processing, batch operations, or other technical approaches when appropriate.
- Validate automated outputs and maintain appropriate human review and quality controls.
AI-Assisted Development
- Use AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Copilot CLI, Visual Studio Code, Cursor, or similar platforms to create, troubleshoot, and improve scripts and automated solutions.
- Leverage AI tools to accelerate development while independently reviewing, testing, and validating generated code.
- Document automation processes and solutions for ongoing team use.
Collaboration & Communication
- Partner with technical teams, content teams, creative teams, and business stakeholders.
- Translate operational requirements into clear technical or workflow solutions.
- Proactively identify risks, issues, dependencies, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Create and maintain documentation, procedures, trackers, and presentations.
- Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Manage multiple publishing and automation priorities independently.
Required Qualifications
- 2–4 years of experience in digital content publishing, content operations, content management, digital production, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with a CMS, content management platform, publishing platform, or digital asset management system.
- Strong understanding of digital content publishing workflows, including content intake, metadata, QA, ingestion, release, and maintenance.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, or another scripting language.
- Experience using scripting or automation to improve a workflow or reduce repetitive manual work.
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools, such as GitHub Copilot, Copilot CLI, Visual Studio Code, Cursor, or similar.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong attention to detail and experience performing structured quality assurance against defined requirements or checklists.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to independently manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with APIs, data processing, batch processing, or workflow integrations.
- Experience with Git/GitHub.
- Experience with content metadata, taxonomy, localization, or digital asset management.
- Experience with web technologies, HTML, or web publishing.
- Experience creating dashboards, reports, or operational metrics.
- Experience working in an Agile or enterprise technology environment.
- Familiarity with additional automation or AI tools.
