Development Engineer

Our client, a motorsports organization, is seeking a Development Engineer to join their team. As a Development Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering team supporting powertrain development initiatives. The ideal candidate will have technical communication skills, analytical problem-solving abilities, and test and validation expertise which will align successfully in the organization.
 

Job Title: Development Engineer
Location: Santa Clarita, CA (Onsite)
Pay Range: $43.27/hr - $57.69/hr

What’s the Job?

• Create development plans for concepts and component development.
• Oversee the full product life cycle from concept through production.
• Execute test and validation activities required to achieve project goals.
• Support powertrain development initiatives.
• Conduct development and testing activities including test planning, procedure writing, data acquisition, and analysis.

What’s Needed?

• B.S. degree or equivalent work experience in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 5 years of experience in development and testing of powertrains.
• Knowledge of internal combustion engines or electrified powertrains, including fluid dynamics and thermodynamics.
• Experience with test planning, procedure writing, data acquisition, and data analysis.
• Ability to communicate technical information effectively, both verbally and in writing, to diverse audiences.
