Our client, a motorsports engineering organization, is seeking a Quality Engineer to join their team. As a Quality Engineer, you will be part of the Quality team supporting Quality Control, New Product Introduction, Manufacturing, and Continuous Improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, effective communication skills, and strong organizational abilities which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Quality Engineer
Location: Santa Clarita, CA
Pay Range: $43.27/hr - $57.69/hr
What’s the Job?
- Support Quality Control of in-house components by developing inspection protocols, control charts, and validating measurement equipment.
- Lead New Product Introductions and corrective actions while troubleshooting manufacturing processes with cross-functional teams.
- Manage non-conformances, provide feedback in UniPoint, and oversee tooling calibration and equipment tracking.
- Support Advanced Product Quality Planning activities including first article inspections, process validation, work instructions, and correlation studies.
- Perform data analysis and drive continuous improvement initiatives, including Six Sigma activities, calibration management, and drawing reviews.
What’s Needed?
- BS in Manufacturing Engineering or Material Science Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of Six Sigma principles and proficiency with test equipment.
- Experience with vendor management, raw materials, and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Experience with MS Office, Minitab, and UniPoint.
