Our client, a leading organization in the telecommunications and technology sector, is seeking a Lead Backend Engineer to join their team.

As a Lead Backend Engineer, you will be part of the Mobile Engineering Department supporting the Mobile Device Software team. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Lead Backend Engineer

Location:  South Denver (4 days onsite) 

Pay Range: $70-76/hour, based on experience 

What's the Job?

  • Develop, modify, and enhance backend systems that support Spectrum Mobile’s platform services.
  • Lead and motivate a high-performing engineering team through shifting priorities, ensuring focus and timely delivery.
  • Design and implement backend services for device provisioning, activation, account management, and carrier integrations.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams including product managers, engineers, and project managers.
  • Provide technical leadership on integration activities with carrier partners and internal mobile systems.

What's Needed?

  • Extensive experience with Java and Spring Boot for building backend services.
  • Proficiency with Angular 2+ or ReactJS, HTML, TypeScript, JavaScript, Node.js, and CSS.
  • Strong experience developing and consuming REST APIs, including documentation and gateway patterns.
  • Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases such as MySQL, Postgres, DynamoDB, MongoDB, or Neo4J.
  • Experience with cloud development using AWS services like CloudFormation, Elastic Beanstalk, EC2, S3, RDS, and Lambda.
