Trade Processing Analyst

Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Trade Operations / Settlements professional to support the accurate and timely processing, settlement, and reconciliation of financial trades across various asset classes. This role will work closely with front office, middle office, custodians, brokers, and counterparties to resolve trade discrepancies and ensure smooth post-trade operations.

Location: Charlotte, NC 28202
Pay Rate: $35- $40/HR
Duration: 6+ Month Contract

Key Responsibilities

• Validate and process trade transactions across equities, fixed income, derivatives, and other financial products.
• Monitor trade confirmations, allocations, and settlements to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Perform daily trade and cash reconciliations with custodians, brokers, and counterparties.
• Investigate and resolve trade breaks, discrepancies, and failed settlements.
• Collaborate with Front Office, Middle Office, Operations, and external counterparties to resolve issues.
• Maintain accurate transaction records and support audit, regulatory, and operational reporting requirements.
• Assist with process improvements, workflow enhancements, and system implementations related to trade operations.
• Ensure transactions are processed in accordance with established operational and regulatory standards.

Required Qualifications

• Experience in Trade Operations, Settlements, Securities Operations, Investment Operations, or Middle Office functions.
• Understanding of the trade lifecycle, financial instruments, and post-trade processes.
• Experience with trade reconciliation, settlements, trade breaks, or exception management.
• Familiarity with financial industry platforms such as DTCC, Bloomberg, or SWIFT.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems/software.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple teams.
