Our client, an industry leader in electrical markets, is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join their team. As a Laboratory Technician, you will be part of the laboratory support team, assisting in the development and testing of new products. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, teamwork, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Laboratory Technician
Location: Austin, Texas
Pay Range: $18 to $22 p/h
Duration: 12 month contract
What's the Job?
- Support the development of new products in electrical markets through prototype testing and laboratory maintenance
- Collaborate closely with scientists to carry out experiments and testing procedures
- Document observations and results accurately in technical notebooks
- Assist in data summarization and prepare final reports on test outcomes
- Coordinate equipment calibrations to ensure precise test data calculations and perform routine lab duties such as shipping and storing samples
What's Needed?
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in a laboratory setting within a private, public, government, or military environment
- Possess an Associate’s or two-year technical degree or higher from an accredited institution; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred
- Ability to accept projects from multiple team members, prioritize, and complete with minimal supervision
- Experience with adhesives and tapes is a plus
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written
