Our client, a leader in the manufacturing and laboratory services industry, is seeking an Engineering Laboratory Technician to join their team. As an Engineering Laboratory Technician, you will be part of the Home Care Division supporting scientific and engineering teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Engineering Laboratory Technician
Location: Maplewood, Minnesota (100% onsite)
Pay Range: $18 to $22 p/h on w2
Duration: 12 month contract
What's the Job?
- Perform testing and record data on products and raw materials using defined test methods
- Use computer software to analyze data, summarize conclusions, and complete documentation
- Prepare, operate, and maintain basic hand tools, power tools, and lab equipment
- Independently carry out tasks and tests in a laboratory environment
- Perform routine lab duties including storing samples, inventory management of supplies and chemicals, and other typical lab tasks
What's Needed?
- Minimum 1 year of laboratory experience; 2-3 years preferred
- Basic understanding of CAD software; SolidWorks preferred
- Excellent communication skills (oral, written, and presentation)
- Hands-on skills in a shop environment
- BS or BA from an accredited university or a two-year associate degree
