Oracle Database Administrator

Our client, a leading organization in the technology sector, is seeking a dedicated Oracle Database Administrator to join their dynamic team. As an Oracle Database Administrator, you will be an integral part of the IT support team, ensuring the stability, security, and optimal performance of Oracle Database Appliance environments. What's the Job?

• Plan and execute Oracle Database Appliance (ODA) patching and upgrades, including software, firmware, operating system, Grid Infrastructure, and database components.
• Maintain ODA systems on Oracle-supported and secure versions to ensure optimal performance and security.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, firmware, storage, networking, and Oracle Linux-related issues on ODA appliances.
• Monitor appliance health, performance, and capacity, proactively addressing potential issues before they impact operations.
• Coordinate with Oracle Support for hardware failures, bug fixes, and critical incident resolution, ensuring minimal downtime.

What's Needed?

• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Database Appliance (ODA) administration and lifecycle management using ODACLI.
• Expertise in ODA patching, upgrades, and troubleshooting hardware, firmware, and operating system issues.
• Good knowledge of Oracle Linux administration and troubleshooting techniques.
• Experience supporting high availability environments utilizing Oracle RAC and ASM.
• Familiarity with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and monitoring tools, along with excellent analytical and communication skills.
