Electrical Engineer

Our client, a leader in automotive electronics and vehicle systems, is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join their team. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be part of the Electronics Test and Validation department supporting vehicle electronics validation and testing. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Electrical Engineer

Location: Irvine, CA Onsite

What's the Job?

• Develop detailed design verification and characterization test plans for ECU programs with input from reliability, design, and firmware teams
• Lead the execution of characterization testing plans according to project milestones
• Own test coverage reports and perform analysis to ensure compliance and quality
• Perform bench-level characterization at IC and PCBA levels to validate electronic components
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot firmware and hardware issues, providing early feedback to design engineers

What's Needed?

• BS/MS or equivalent work experience in Electrical Engineering or related field
• 10+ years of experience in electronics characterization and validation testing
• Experience using lab instrumentation like oscilloscopes, power supplies, electronic loads, digital multimeters, etc.
• Very good understanding of Electrical Engineering fundamentals
• Working knowledge of vehicle electrical systems and communication buses
