Embedded Linux BSP Engineer

Our client, a leading organization in the aerospace and high-performance storage solutions industry, is seeking a Embedded Linux BSP Engineer to join their team. As a Embedded Linux BSP Engineer, you will be part of the engineering department supporting product development and platform integration teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a collaborative spirit, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Embedded Linux BSP Engineer

Location: Irvine, California (On Site)

What's the Job?

• Support porting and configuration of GMSL3 drivers and utilities dependent on this protocol
• Configure Linux kernel modules to ensure optimal performance and compatibility
• Perform hardware bring-up, validation, and debugging on evaluation and target hardware platforms
• Develop and integrate Board Support Packages (BSP) for x86 architectures
• Customize and maintain BIOS/UEFI to meet platform requirements and support Linux kernel boot processes

What's Needed?

• Strong knowledge of Linux kernel boot flow and minimal hardware initialization processes
• Experience with BSP development for x86 architectures and embedded systems debugging
• Proficiency in C/C++ programming and low-level hardware programming
• Familiarity with hardware bring-up techniques using JTAG, serial console, and oscilloscopes
• Experience with storage devices such as eMMC, NVMe, SATA, and SD, including root filesystem setup
