Data Center Engineer

Our client, a leading organization in the data infrastructure sector, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Data Center Engineer to join their dynamic team. As a Data Center Engineer, you will be an integral part of the Infrastructure Support team, contributing to the maintenance, upgrade, and optimization of critical data center systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, ensuring seamless operations and continuous improvement within the data center environment.

What's the Job?

• Support data center engineering, construction, upgrades, and integration activities across multiple sites.
• Lead teams and collaborate with cross-functional partners to influence project outcomes and operational excellence.
• Conduct risk assessments and contribute to availability modeling and resiliency planning for critical systems.
• Manage site assessments, infrastructure health evaluations, and facility upgrade planning to ensure optimal performance.
• Participate in commissioning activities, including testing and validation of mechanical, electrical, and fire suppression systems.

What's Needed?

• Typically 5+ years of experience in Data Center, Critical Systems, or related infrastructure engineering disciplines.
• Demonstrated experience supporting data center activities within large or multisite environments.
• Working knowledge of risk assessment, availability concepts, and infrastructure management tools such as power, cooling, telemetry, and DCIM.
• Experience leading teams or workstreams and collaborating with vendors and project stakeholders.
• Familiarity with compliance standards, working with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs), and supporting commissioning activities.
