Transportation Planner

Our client, a leading consumer packaged goods company, is seeking a Transportation Planner to join their team. The ideal candidate will have transportation and supply chain experience, strong analytical capabilities, and a proven ability to manage logistics operations while driving service, efficiency, and continuous improvement across a dynamic transportation network.

Job Title: Transportation Planner
Location: Hoboken, NJ (Hybrid)
Contract: 1 Year
Pay Range: $23 - $27 hourly

What’s the Job?

• Manage transportation operations across Unilever’s factory network, ensuring optimal service and execution for customer shipments.
• Partner with customers, warehouses, carriers, and logistics providers to support on-time delivery and operational excellence.
• Monitor and balance key transportation KPIs to drive efficiency, improve service, and reduce costs.
• Analyze transportation performance, identify trends and losses, and recommend solutions to improve network performance.
• Leverage Excel, Power BI, and supply chain systems to create reporting, support decision-making, and communicate business insights.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to develop distribution solutions that align customer needs with supply chain objectives.

What’s Needed?

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 2 years of logistics and supply chain experience (or 6 years of relevant experience without a Bachelor’s degree).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with Power BI, PowerPoint, and integrated business systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills with the ability to translate numbers into actionable insights.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work across multiple functions and stakeholder groups.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and delivering results on time.
