Our client, a leading organization in the security and data management industry, is seeking a Splunk Engineer (Richmond, Charlotte, Pennington) to join their dynamic team. As a Splunk Engineer (Richmond, Charlotte, Pennington), you will be part of the Security Operations and Data Infrastructure teams supporting critical security and operational functions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, proactive communication, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location:Richmond, VA; Charlotte, NC; Pennington, NJ (On-site role)

Pay Range:$70.24

What's the Job?

• Own end-to-end production support for a highly distributed Splunk Enterprise and Splunk Cloud environment, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Lead incident response, troubleshooting, root cause analysis (RCA), and service restoration for Splunk and Cribl platforms.
• Serve as a technical enabler for Information Security and SOC teams, supporting security log ingestion and SIEM use cases.
• Administer and support Cribl environment for data routing, filtering, and enrichment to optimize data pipelines.
• Develop and maintain operational documentation, SOPs, and runbooks to ensure compliance and operational excellence.

What's Needed?

• 5+ years of hands-on experience managing large-scale Splunk environments, including indexer and search head clustering.
• Deep expertise in SPL, search optimization, data model acceleration, and security log ingestion.
• Strong Linux administration skills and experience managing Splunk configurations and apps.
• Proven ability to lead production incidents, perform RCA, and implement preventive solutions.
• Excellent communication skills to engage with technical and business stakeholders effectively.
