Validation Engineer (Post-Silicon Validation)

Our client, a leader in the technology industry, is seeking a Validation Engineer 4 to join their team. As a Validation Engineer 4, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting processor validation and platform development teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, effective communication, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?

• Develop comprehensive test plans for processor interface validation, focusing on electrical and functional aspects.
• Execute electrical and functional tests on client processors utilizing hardware and software validation tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other diagnostic equipment.
• Debug and troubleshoot electrical and functional issues related to new processors, providing detailed analysis and solutions.
• Contribute technical input into platform definitions and review platform designs used in silicon validation processes.
• Provide technical guidance and training to less experienced engineers and technicians in processor validation, testing, and debugging procedures.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering with 8-10 years of related experience, or a Master’s degree with at least 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Proven expertise in developing and executing platform-level electrical and functional test plans.
• Experience with platform-level electrical characterization, especially with processor I/O interfaces.
• Strong debugging skills for processor and PC platform I/O interfaces, with familiarity in reading schematics and layout documentation.
• Proficiency in using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and MS Windows and Office applications; excellent written and oral communication skills.
