Our client, a leading global financial services organization, is seeking an experienced Program Manager to support a portfolio of strategic business and technology initiatives within the Retirement Planning Services Portfolio. This is a non-technical role focused on driving business readiness activities, portfolio governance, executive reporting, and cross-functional coordination to ensure key initiatives remain on track. The ideal candidate brings strong program management experience, exceptional stakeholder management skills, and a proven ability to proactively identify risks, manage dependencies, and facilitate collaboration across business and technology teams.
 

Job Title: Program Manager III

Location: Owings Mills, MD (Hybrid: 4 Days Onsite | 1 Day Remote)

Pay Range: $57/hr - $62/hr
 

What's the Job?

  • Coordinate business readiness activities supporting large-scale technology updates and strategic portfolio initiatives.
  • Drive program and portfolio governance processes, including work plans, status tracking, and executive reporting.
  • Gather, consolidate, and communicate status updates across multiple development priorities and stakeholder groups.
  • Identify, track, and help mitigate risks, issues, and cross-functional dependencies to ensure initiatives remain on track.
  • Facilitate collaboration between business, technology, and external partners to support successful delivery and organizational readiness.
  • Develop and maintain portfolio reporting, governance materials, presentations, and planning artifacts for leadership review.
  • Lead stakeholder meetings, planning cadences, and follow-up activities to drive accountability and execution.
  • Support ongoing portfolio management activities across strategic enterprise initiatives within a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.

What's Needed?

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in Program Management, Portfolio Management, PMO, or related project delivery roles.
  • Strong experience with governance, executive reporting, risk management, dependency tracking, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple initiatives and work effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (such as MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio etc.); SharePoint experience preferred.
  • Financial Services industry experience preferred.
  • PMI or PMP certification preferred.
