Quality Control Technician

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to support Quality Management System activities within a manufacturing environment. This role will perform product testing, batch record review, production audits, documentation, and quality-related activities while ensuring compliance with GMP and GLP requirements.

Pay Rate: $24- $26//hour
Location: Atlanta, GA 
Shift: 2:30 PM
Contract: 6 + month

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform product testing, including testing related to complaint investigations and stability verification.
  • Generate and document product testing results and reports.
  • Review production batch records (DHRs) for accuracy and completeness.
  • Review finished goods batch records and identify deviations.
  • Ensure deviations are properly addressed and resolved before product approval.
  • Conduct spot-check inspections and audits of production operations.
  • Participate in the internal audit program.
  • Write, review, and approve SOPs as needed.
  • Support document control, record retention, and sample retention activities.
  • Process returned instruments, including:
    • Log instruments returned from the field.
    • Decontaminate returned instruments in a Biohazard Level II environment according to SOPs.
    • Inspect returned instruments for damage and document findings.
    • Support basic investigations and prepare documentation for repair processing.
    • Package instruments for shipment to repair facilities when required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific or technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1+ year of Quality Assurance experience, preferably within the medical device industry.
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
  • Ability to accurately follow procedures and document results.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and ability to identify deviations from approved procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
  • Ability to use bleach for cleaning and decontamination purposes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable working with databases, spreadsheets, inventory systems, word processing software, and internet-based applications.
