Our client, a leader in scientific manufacturing, is seeking an Automation Technician to join their team. As an Automation Technician, you will be part of the Manufacturing Support Department supporting production and maintenance teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Automation Technician
Location: Rochester, NY (100% Onsite)
Pay Rate: $28/hr. on W2 PLUS Benefits
Job Type: 1-year contract with the potential for hire/extension
Schedule: 3rd Shift M-F 10:30pm-7am
What's the Job?
- Perform immediate and preventative maintenance on manufacturing automation equipment
- Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to optimize equipment performance
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions
- Work with robotics, vision systems, ultrasonic welding, and printing technologies to ensure quality output
- Maintain a safe work environment by following standards and procedures
What's Needed?
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 2+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, maintenance, or related technical roles
- Experience with PLC systems, SCADA, and automated manufacturing equipment preferred
- Knowledge of GMP, ISO standards, and regulatory requirements in manufacturing environments
- Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and automated systems
