Associate Director of Clinical Operations

Our client, a leading organization in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry, is seeking a Associate Director of Clinical Operations to join their team. As a Associate Director of Clinical Operations, you will be part of the Clinical Operations Department supporting multiple therapeutic areas. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, strategic thinking, and excellent communication skills, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Associate Director of Clinical Operations

Location: Remote (cannot support CA, NJ, WA, or NY)

Pay Range: $140,000 - $175,000

What's the Job?

• Oversee clinical operations activities, including clinical trial management, site monitoring, and clinical systems management, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards such as FDA requirements and GCPs/ICH guidelines.
• Support government and commercial contracts across various therapeutic areas, including infectious disease, oncology, medical devices, and drug abuse.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables within complex drug development programs, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
• Communicate effectively within a matrix organization, representing the clinical team during cross-functional collaborations.
• Lead on clinical operations strategy, contribute to process improvements, and ensure documentation and workflows are maintained within projected timelines.

What's Needed?

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, including hands-on regulatory, clinical operations, or clinical trial management experience.
• At least 6 years of project management or equivalent clinical trials and operations management experience.
• Strong knowledge of clinical research databases, systems, and tools, with proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Microsoft Project.
• Experience in infectious disease, HIV, oncology, or Phase 1 protocols is a plus.
• Bachelor’s Degree in life sciences or a related health field; advanced degrees such as PhD, PharmD, MD, or Master’s Degree are advantageous.
