Data Center Infrastructure Technician

Our client is seeking a Data Center Infrastructure Technician to join their team. As a Technician , you will be part of the Data Center Operations team supporting infrastructure development, maintenance, and stakeholder collaboration. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a proactive attitude which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Data Center Infrastructure Technician

Location: Madison, WI - Onsite

Pay Range: $19 - $22 / hr. on W2

What's the Job?

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and decommission data center hardware and cabling infrastructure.
• Coordinate rack installations, migrations, deliveries, and decommissions.
• Manage equipment intake, deployment, relocation, and disposal activities.
• Maintain accurate asset inventory and configuration records.
• Coordinate scheduled maintenance and emergency activities impacting data center infrastructure.

What's Needed?

• 3+ years of experience installing, decommissioning, and troubleshooting data center IT hardware and power/data cabling infrastructure.
• Experience with data center design and management concepts.
• Ability to work closely with facility maintenance teams, security staff, vendors, and customers to support data center operations.
• Support data and power distribution, physical infrastructure development, and network connectivity within data center environments.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.
