Our client, a leader in maritime and fleet operations, is seeking a Network Engineer to join their team. As a Network Engineer, you will be part of the IT Department supporting shipboard and shoreside network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and excellent communication skills, which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?

  • Analyze shipboard network requirements and implement cost-effective solutions to support fleet operations.
  • Configure and maintain LAN/WAN, wireless, and security systems to ensure reliable services for guests and crew.
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues proactively to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with shipboard teams and shoreside IT during newbuilds, dry docks, and daily operations.
  • Develop and document network architecture standards, operational procedures, and project plans.

What's Needed?

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience managing enterprise-class networking hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, and cloud services.
  • Experience with shipboard or maritime network environments is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise routing (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), switching, and security protocols.
  • Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are preferred.
