Position Overview
We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and proactive Junior Project Coordinator to support key operational initiatives for a premier global financial institution in Charlotte, NC.
This role is ideal for an ambitious project professional who excels at keeping cross-functional initiatives on schedule, maintaining detailed project records, tracking action items, and driving clear communication across business and operational teams.
Banking, finance experience a plus. While domain exposure is a plus, our client is primarily looking for a sharp coordinator with exceptional organizational skills, strong follow-through, and comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
Key Responsibilities

Project Tracking & Execution: Support project leads with daily coordination, ensuring project timelines, task lists, and action-item logs are actively maintained and updated.

Documentation & Status Reporting: Maintain centralized project records, prepare meeting agendas, record detailed meeting minutes, and compile regular status updates for departmental leadership.

Meeting & Schedule Management: Coordinate cross-functional meetings, manage calendar invitations, prepare presentation materials, and ensure meeting outcomes translate into actionable next steps.

Deliverable & Deadline Monitoring: Proactively follow up with team members and internal stakeholders on open commitments to ensure milestones are met without delay.

Operational Workflow Support: Assist with general departmental coordination to maintain seamless day-to-day execution across project workstreams.
Position Requirements

Experience: 2–4 years of experience as a Project Coordinator, Administrative Coordinator, Operations Specialist, or in a similar project support role.

Banking/Finance (Preferred, Not Required): Prior exposure to banking, financial services, or Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity workflows is a plus.

Software Proficiencies: Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook). Familiarity with project tools like SharePoint, Jira, or Asana is helpful.

Communication & Organization: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Education: High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree or coursework in Business Administration, Communications, or related fields is a plus.
