Raw Material Analytical Chemist I

Our client, a leading organization in the cosmetics and personal care industry, is seeking a Raw Material Analytical Chemist I to join their team. As a Raw Material Analytical Chemist I, you will be part of the Analytical Department supporting Raw Materials (R&I). The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, independence/self-reliance, and excellent communication skills which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Raw Material Analytical Chemist I

Location: Clark, NJ

Pay Range: $25-$29/hr

What's the Job?

  • Perform analysis of samples and raw materials using chromatographic, spectroscopic, wet chemistry, physical testing, and other analytical techniques.
  • Apply existing test methods and procedures to complete the required analytical testing.
  • Collect, process, and interpret results accurately, deriving conclusions based on sound science, and prepare reports to communicate findings effectively.
  • Perform root cause analyses for non-conformance events related to laboratory testing.
  • Communicate testing statuses and project updates effectively with management and team members.

What's Needed?

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related field with 1-3 years of professional experience.
  • Working knowledge of pH, TLC, Auto-titrators, FT-IR, Karl Fisher, Viscosity, and other wet chemistry analysis techniques.
  • Experience with HPLC and GC is required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
