System Engineer

Our client, an industry leader in infrastructure and engineering services, is seeking a System Engineer to join their team. As a System Engineer, you will be part of the Infrastructure Support team supporting engineering, procurement, and construction projects. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title:System Engineer

Location:Austin, TX (5 days onsite)

What's the Job?

• Support and maintain existing software systems used by infrastructure teams
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Design and develop full-stack web applications, automation tools, dashboards, and workflows
• Define software architecture for new systems, extensions, and integrations
• Participate in design discussions and contribute to technical decision-making

What's Needed?

• Strong JavaScript/TypeScript development experience, primarily backend focused
• Experience with end-to-end software development and basic architecture design
• Ability to support requirements gathering and translate business needs into technical designs
• Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Github Actions, Jenkins, and Ansible
• Experience working in environments related to EPC, construction, engineering, or manufacturing is a plus
