Salesforce Business Analyst
This position is not open to corp. to corp. or H-1 transfer or STEM/OPT.
Required to work as Experis w/2 employee for this client.
This 1 year position with opportunity for extension.
The position is remote but must work on EST.
There is two rounds of interviewing
Contractor must have a computer, web-cam for video conference, cell phone, and access to reliable high-speed internet.
Hourly rate with benefits is 55.00 per
Typically, week looks like:
- 9am half hour daily stand up
- Meeting with programs they will be implementing about 2x per week
- 1-on-1 with program staff, QAs, developers, writing up tickets, working with JIRA, reporting on project status and issues/hurdles.
Key Qualifications:
- 3 years of Salesforce BA experience minimum but would consider someone with more years.
- Clean energy / government energy is not required.
- Related Salesforce Administrator certifications are a huge plus.
- Familiarity with Salesforce security, automation (Flows, Approval Processes, etc.), Salesforce data models and metadata (how to extract data from Salesforce).
- Know how Salesforce works, able to do automations and help resolve security/user issues if developers are unavailable.
- Writing requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Doing demos and communicate/organize thoughts and execute plan.
- Communication skills and ability to pivot between different programs day-to-day based on shifting priorities are key.
Mandatory Qualifications:
- Experience translating business needs into formal requirements.
- Experience creating functional and technical documentation.
- 2 years of experience doing functional design and requirements in Salesforce.
- Experience with Salesforce Sales and Service Cloud.
- Experience with Salesforce Lightning capabilities and familiarity with what can be accomplished using Flows, Approval Processes, and other Salesforce automations.
- Ability to create reports in Salesforce.
- Familiarity with Salesforce data models and metadata.
- Ability to communicate technically complex concepts in easy-to-understand terms.
- Ability to communicate effectively and clearly with both technical and non-technical staff.
- Ability to focus on details to create a reliable and accurate work product.
- Experience establishing, documenting, and maintaining procedures and processes.
- Experience with relational databases and complex data structures; ability to create basic SQL queries.
- Knowledge of end user data manipulation tools.
- Knowledge of report creation tools.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to facilitate internal end-user training on new or substantially modified systems.
- Ability to facilitate User Acceptance Testing sessions.
- Experience triaging bug and enhancement tickets and helping to diagnose system problems.
- Knowledge of data security and encryption.
- Ability to keep up with IT advancements.
- Expertise in Salesforce software.
- Expertise in Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), shared file systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or related field and two years experience in systems analysis work or Associates degree and five years of experience in systems analysis work.
- Certificates from recognized programs that indicate mastery of tools and techniques relevant to the assignment may subsƟtute for up to six months of experience.
Responsibilities:
- Identify business needs, elicit specifications and requirements, and collaborate with customers and other IT team members to develop innovative solutions.
- Prepare functional specifications, review with customer, and revise as needed, obtain sign off.
- Provide analysis for projects involving systems design or redesign.
- Serve as a customer liaison, represent the department as needed on project teams and working groups.
- Document system processes, configurations, and changes.
- Manage multiple projects and assignments concurrently; meet established deadlines.
- Communicate to management and end-users in meaningful and understandable terms.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration among diverse groups at all levels of the organization.
- Serve as a resource and mentor for other team members.
- Understand and adhere to NYSERDA’s policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned that contribute to the key outcomes of the IT Operations Team.
