Our client, a leading organization in the technology sector, is seeking a Cisco Licensing Support Engineer to join their team. As a Cisco Licensing Support Engineer, you will be part of the Licensing Infrastructure & Operations team supporting network and infrastructure teams. The ideal candidate will have problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Cisco Licensing Support Engineer
Location: San Jose, CA (On site/hybrid 2-3 days per week)
What's the Job?
- Provide advanced technical support for Cisco licensing platforms, including Smart Licensing, Smart Accounts, and subscription systems
- Troubleshoot complex licensing issues and ensure release readiness through comprehensive testing
- Collaborate with network and infrastructure teams to align licensing with deployment strategies
- Drive analytics, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives across Licensing Infrastructure & Operations
- Manage incident escalation, root cause analysis, and defect triage to maintain operational excellence
What's Needed?
- Hands-on experience with Cisco Smart Licensing, Smart Accounts, and CSSM
- Proven support experience in licensing or network environments at L2 level
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals such as TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, firewalls, and proxies
- Experience troubleshooting license registration, synchronization, and compliance issues
- Familiarity with tools like JIRA, dashboards, and reporting platforms
