Our client, a leading organization in the technology and data solutions sector, is seeking a Hadoop Engineer (Chicago or Charlotte) to join their dynamic team. As a Hadoop Engineer (Chicago or Charlotte), you will be part of the Data Platforms Support Team, contributing to innovative projects and supporting critical data infrastructure. What's the Job?
- Support and manage Big Data platforms built around Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, and related technologies.
- Perform cluster management, upgrades, bug fixes, and deployment activities to ensure platform stability and performance.
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize query performance and resource utilization.
- Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and implement disaster recovery plans.
- Engage with clients, vendors, and cross-functional teams to deliver technical solutions aligned with business needs.
What's Needed?
- Experience working with Big Data Technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, and Impala.
- Certifications in Cloudera Admin/Dev and Cloud, Docker-Container, or OpenShift Technologies.
- Hands-on experience with cluster management, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
- Strong knowledge of Hadoop architecture, HDFS, and related components.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Shell, and familiarity with SQL and relational databases.
