Our client, a leading organization in the technology and data solutions sector, is seeking a Hadoop Engineer (Charlotte or Chicago) to join their dynamic team. As a Hadoop Engineer (Charlotte or Chicago), you will be part of the Data Platforms Support team supporting innovative Big Data Technologies. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Hadoop Engineer (Charlotte or Chicago)

Location: Charlotte, NC or Chicago, IL

Pay Range:$70-73.68

What's the Job?

• Support and manage Hadoop and Data Science platform operations across multiple environments.
• Perform cluster management, upgrades, bug fixes, and deployments to ensure optimal performance.
• Monitor system metrics, troubleshoot issues, and implement disaster recovery plans.
• Collaborate with clients, vendors, and development teams to deliver technical solutions.
• Engage in full application lifecycle management within an agile development environment.

What's Needed?

• Experience supporting Hadoop platforms at L1, L2, and L3 levels.
• Proficiency with Yarn, Spark, Impala, and related Big Data tools.
• Strong understanding of Hadoop architecture, HDFS, and cluster management.
• Hands-on experience with troubleshooting Hadoop components like NameNode, HDFS, and YARN.
• Knowledge of relational databases, data warehousing, and SQL skills.
