Our client, a leading organization in the data management and technology sector, is seeking a Hadoop Admin (Charlotte or Chicago) to join their team. As a Hadoop Admin (Charlotte or Chicago), you will be part of the Data Platform Support team supporting enterprise-wide data solutions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Pay Range:$70-73.68
What's the Job?
- Manage and support Hadoop platforms, including building, maintaining, and troubleshooting end-to-end support for data platforms.
- Perform patching, automation, and support activities for vendor-based Hadoop clusters.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure platform stability, performance, and scalability.
- Monitor system metrics, conduct capacity planning, and implement disaster recovery procedures.
- Serve as a technical liaison between clients, vendors, and internal teams to deliver effective solutions.
What's Needed?
- At least 6 years of experience in managing Hadoop platforms, including Cloudera administration and support.
- Hands-on experience with cluster management, patching, troubleshooting, and automation tools.
- Proficiency in Hadoop components such as HDFS, YARN, Spark, Impala, and related technologies.
- Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux systems, scripting languages, and database management.
- Experience working with Data Science and AI/ML products like Cloudera, DataRobot, and others.
