Senior Backend Engineer - Kotlin

Our client, a leading enterprise in the financial services industry, is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join their team. As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting the development of scalable, API-driven services within a complex enterprise environment. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, a proactive mindset, and excellent collaboration abilities, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location:Phoenix, Arizona

Pay Range: 55.00 - 60.00/hour, w2 

What's the Job?

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs.
• Build and enhance cloud-based applications and services using AWS.
• Develop highly reliable and maintainable server-side solutions.
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, and other engineers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Design and implement APIs that provide simple, reliable interfaces to complex backend systems.

What's Needed?

• Strong professional experience in backend/server-side software engineering.
• Experience designing and developing APIs and distributed services.
• Hands-on experience with AWS or another major public cloud platform.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals, including design, development, testing, debugging, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of technical problems from conception through delivery.
