Our client, a government agency in the public sector, is seeking an IT Systems Administrator II (Security) to join their dedicated team. As an IT Systems Administrator II (Security), you will be an integral part of the IT support department, ensuring the security and efficiency of critical systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to security management, which will align successfully within the organization.
Job Title: IT Systems Administrator II (Security)
Location: Topeka, Kansas
Pay: $38/hr W2
Work Authorization: Must be USC or GC Holder due to client requirements
What's the Job?
- Manage and maintain Windows servers, DNS, and SSL configurations to ensure system stability and security.
- Administer and monitor CrowdStrike security platform to protect agency assets from cyber threats.
- Generate and analyze security reports to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with agency policies.
- Implement security best practices and assist in maintaining regulatory compliance across all systems.
- Collaborate with IT teams to develop and improve security protocols and incident response strategies.
What's Needed?
- Proven experience in network administration and security management.
- Hands-on experience managing Windows servers, DNS, and SSL certificates.
- Familiarity with CrowdStrike or similar endpoint security solutions.
- Ability to produce detailed reports and documentation related to security and system performance.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to ensure compliance with security standards.
