Our client, a leading organization in the technology and infrastructure sector, is seeking an Internal Cloud Hyperconverged Infrastructure Virtualization Engineer to join their team. As a Virtualization Engineer, you will be part of the Infrastructure Support team, focusing on engineering and maintaining enterprise virtualization platforms. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to innovation, which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?

• Engineer and maintain the VMware-based virtualization platform layer within the Internal Cloud HCI stack.
• Support lifecycle activities including upgrades, patching, and performance validation to ensure stability and resiliency.
• Collaborate with automation and platform teams to deliver consistent virtualization capabilities aligned with enterprise standards.
• Ensure the virtualization layer meets enterprise requirements for availability, performance, and operability.
• Develop and uphold operational standards, configurations, and patterns for virtualization within the internal cloud environment.

What's Needed?

• 4-5 years of experience engineering or operating enterprise virtualization platforms in production environments.
• Hands-on experience with Linux workloads and infrastructure troubleshooting in virtualized environments.
• Familiarity with VMware virtualization concepts and hyperconverged infrastructure fundamentals (compute/virtualization/storage interaction).
• Experience supporting virtualization lifecycle activities such as upgrades, patching, and performance troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of virtualization platform support and automation integration.
