Our client, a leading organization in the technology and infrastructure sector, is seeking a Network / System Engineer III to join their team. As a Network / System Engineer III, you will be part of the Infrastructure Support team supporting enterprise virtualization and cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Network / System Engineer III/ Virtualization Engineer

Location: Chandler, AZ (Hybrid - Only 3 days onsite per week)

Pay Range: $70

What's the Job?

• Engineer and maintain the virtualization layer of the Internal Cloud Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI) stack, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Support lifecycle activities such as upgrades, patches, and stability testing for enterprise virtualization platforms.
• Collaborate with automation and platform teams to deliver consistent virtualization capabilities within the HCI environment.
• Validate performance and resiliency of virtualization layers, supporting enterprise workload types including virtual machines, containers, and grid compute.
• Develop and uphold operational standards, configurations, and engineering patterns for virtualization platforms.

What's Needed?

• 4-5 years of experience engineering or operating enterprise virtualization platforms in production environments.
• Hands-on experience with Linux workloads and infrastructure troubleshooting in virtualized environments.
• Familiarity with VMware virtualization concepts and hyperconverged infrastructure fundamentals (compute, virtualization, storage interaction).
• Experience supporting virtualization lifecycle activities such as upgrades, patching, and performance triage.
• Strong understanding of enterprise virtualization best practices and automation integration.
