Procurement Category Manager 5

Our client, a leading data center infrastructure organization, is seeking a Procurement Category Manager to join their team. As a Procurement Category Manager, you will be part of the Procurement and Supply Chain Organization supporting Engineering, Construction, Cost Management, Category Management, and Supplier Teams. The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills, excellent stakeholder communication abilities, and proactive problem-solving capabilities which will align successfully in the organization.

What’s the Job?

• Lead end-to-end sourcing activities including RFP development, bid evaluations, commercial analysis, supplier negotiations, and award recommendations.
• Manage procurement execution through Purchase Order Requests (PORs), Change Orders (CORs), contract administration, and governance compliance.
• Coordinate with suppliers, engineering, construction, and category management teams to ensure equipment procurement aligns with project schedules and requirements.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate procurement risks related to schedule, supplier capacity, pricing, commercial terms, and project execution.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives by developing procurement processes, standard operating procedures, training materials, and documentation.

What’s Needed?

• 5+ years of experience in strategic procurement, sourcing, contract management, or construction procurement.
• 3+ years supporting large-scale infrastructure, industrial, construction, mission-critical, or data center projects.
• Proven experience managing RFPs, supplier negotiations, contract execution, purchase orders, change orders, and procurement risk mitigation.
• Hands-on experience with procurement and contract management systems such as SAP, Ariba, iCertis, or similar platforms.
• Strong project management, stakeholder management, analytical problem-solving, and supplier relationship management skills.
