Platform Modernization Engineer

Our client, a leader in enterprise infrastructure and modernization, is seeking a Platform Modernization Engineer to join their dynamic team. As a Platform Modernization Engineer, you will be part of the Infrastructure Support Department supporting modernization initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a proactive mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Platform Modernization Engineer

Location: Plano, TX

Pay Range: $70 - $73/hr

What's the Job?

• Lead the development and implementation of AI-enabled modernization solutions for legacy mainframe systems.
• Design and develop automation frameworks and agent-based workflows to enhance vulnerability patching processes.
• Integrate AI-driven agents with mainframe systems, APIs, and security tools to streamline operations.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and security teams to prioritize and execute patching initiatives effectively.
• Ensure the reliability, scalability, and operational readiness of automation solutions across enterprise environments.

What's Needed?

• Hands-on experience developing automation frameworks and agents, preferably with Agentic AI.
• Strong Python programming skills in enterprise environments.
• Experience operating in large-scale enterprise infrastructure environments.
• Knowledge of mainframe systems such as z/OS, IMS, CICS, and DB2.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills to partner effectively with cross-functional teams.
