Our client, a leading organization in the technology and hardware development sector, is seeking a dedicated EDA QA Automation Engineer to join their dynamic team. As an EDA QA Automation Engineer, you will be an integral part of the Quality Assurance department supporting the development and testing of innovative hardware solutions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: EDA QA Automation Engineer

Location: Albany, New York

Pay Range: $40/hr - $44/hr 

What's the Job?

  • Develop and execute regression and test cases to ensure comprehensive quality assurance of the PDK Deck before release.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, document, and resolve software and hardware issues.
  • Utilize industry-standard tools such as Synopsys ICValidator, KLayout, Cadence Virtuoso, and Siemens Calibre for testing and validation.
  • Write and maintain scripts using C/C++, Python, and other coding languages to automate testing processes.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance testing methodologies and quality standards.

What's Needed?

  • Experience with EDA automation, scripting, and software development in a hardware or semiconductor environment.
  • Proficiency with tools like Synopsys ICValidator, KLayout, Cadence Virtuoso, and Siemens Calibre.
  • Strong coding skills in C/C++, Python, and familiarity with scripting languages such as SVRF and SKILL.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and communicate technical information clearly.
