Environmental Compliance Project Manager 5

Our client, a leading technology infrastructure organization, is seeking a Construction Environmental Compliance Lead to join their team. As a Construction Environmental Compliance Lead, you will be part of the Environmental Compliance Team supporting Data Center Construction, Permitting, Operations, and Construction Delivery Teams. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, excellent project management abilities, and a collaborative, self-starter mindset which will align successfully in the organization.

What’s the Job?

  • Oversee environmental compliance activities for data center construction projects from pre-construction through operational turnover.
  • Conduct and support onsite environmental inspections while identifying compliance risks and implementing mitigation measures.
  • Coordinate with permitting managers, consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with environmental permits and requirements.
  • Manage environmental reporting, agency notifications, inspections, and documentation throughout the construction lifecycle.
  • Support environmental compliance related to stormwater, wetlands, streams, threatened and endangered species, air quality, and other regulatory requirements.

 

What’s Needed?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of environmental permitting and/or environmental compliance experience supporting construction projects in the United States.
  • Strong knowledge of Clean Water Act Sections 402, 401, and 404, including stormwater and wetland permitting requirements.
  • 5+ years of project or program management experience, including leading consultants and coordinating cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships across internal and external teams.
