Our client, a leading organization in enterprise messaging and integration services, is seeking a IBM MQ Administrator to join their team. As a IBM MQ Administrator, you will be part of the IT Operations Department supporting the Messaging Infrastructure Team. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive mindset which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: IBM MQ Administrator
Location: Baltimore, MD
Pay Range: $57-61/hr
What's the Job?
- Install, configure, and administer IBM MQ environments across development, staging, and production platforms.
- Create, manage, and maintain queue managers, queues, channels, listeners, and other MQ objects to ensure seamless messaging operations.
- Support and maintain IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE) environments, including deployment of message flows and runtime support.
- Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity to optimize operational efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve MQ and ACE related issues, including connectivity problems, message delivery failures, and performance bottlenecks.
What's Needed?
- 7+ years of experience supporting enterprise messaging platforms, specifically IBM MQ and ACE.
- Hands-on experience with IBM MQ architecture, administration, and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency working with Linux/Unix server environments.
- AWS cloud experience
- Knowledge of MQ security protocols, including SSL/TLS and user access controls.
- Familiarity with scripting for automation and operational support tasks.
