Our client, a leading player in the construction industry, is seeking a Fractional CFO to join their team. As a Fractional CFO, you will be part of the financial leadership supporting major construction projects across Texas. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strategic thinking, strong leadership, and excellent communication skills, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Fractional CFO
Location: Between WACO and DALLAS area, Texas (Exact address to be provided)
Duration: Contract with potential to go FT
Schedule: 40-60 hrs/week

What's the Job?

  • Provide high-level financial oversight for complex construction projects, ensuring financial health and compliance
  • Analyze project financials, track project-level reporting, and consolidate data across multiple companies
  • Lead the invoice process, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and efficient approval workflows
  • Work closely with project teams to monitor Cost Performance Index (CPI) and Schedule Performance Index (SPI)
  • Collaborate with diverse teams, pivot between detailed tasks and high-level presentations, and lead financial processes on-site and remotely

What's Needed?

  • Extensive experience in construction finance, particularly with mass earth-moving projects
  • Strong understanding of POC/ASC 606, project reporting, and consolidation of financial data
  • Solid knowledge of GAAP, general accounting, AP, payroll, AR, and invoicing processes
  • Ability to work hands-on with teams, communicate effectively with SMEs, and operate both strategically and tactically
  • Willingness to travel between project locations and work on-site in Texas
