Our client, a leader in the manufacturing and research industry, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Engineering Technician I to join their dynamic team. As an Engineering Technician I, you will be an integral part of the Research and Development Department, supporting innovative projects and contributing to the advancement of cutting-edge solutions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, effective communication, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully within our organization.
Job Title: Engineering Technician I
Location: Round Lake, IL. ONSITE
Duration: 12 months contract with possible extension
Work Hours: 8AM-5PM Mon-Friday, Work hours Flexible.
Pay Range: $25/hr - $27/hr w2 (Depends on Experience)
What's the Job?
- Perform a variety of research and development laboratory tasks and experiments, ensuring accuracy and precision in all work.
- Make detailed observations, analyze data, and interpret results to support project objectives.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and manage inventory levels for laboratory supplies.
- Write experimental reports, summaries, and protocols to document findings and procedures.
- Perform troubleshooting and calibration of laboratory instruments to ensure optimal performance.
What's Needed?
- High School diploma or equivalent; AA Degree preferred.
- 0 years of experience required; relevant training or internship experience is a plus.
- Good written and verbal communication skills to effectively document and share findings.
- Basic computer skills including word processing, data entry, and email communication.
- Fundamental knowledge of science and mathematics to support laboratory tasks.
