Project Scheduler (Mid-level)

Our client, an industry leader in supporting midstream infrastructure projects, is seeking a Project Scheduler to join their team.

As a Project Scheduler, you will be part of the Project Controls Department supporting project teams and contractors. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Project Scheduler

Location: Houston, Texas (onsite 5 days/week)

What's the Job?

• Develop and maintain logic-driven CPM schedules for projects across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout phases.
• Establish and maintain schedule architecture including WBS, activity coding, durations, logic ties, constraints, calendars, and key milestones in alignment with company standards.
• Lead routine schedule update cycles by collecting progress from stakeholders, validating status credibility, updating schedules, and publishing schedule updates and reports.
• Perform schedule analysis including critical path and near-critical path identification, float trend monitoring, and early warning of potential milestone slippage.
• Review contractor schedules and updates for compliance with required milestones, coding, logic quality, and reporting needs; provide feedback and recommendations.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
• 3–7 years of project scheduling experience supporting oil & gas, midstream, industrial, or infrastructure capital projects.
• Experience developing and maintaining integrated schedules and producing schedule reports and narratives.
• Knowledge of scheduling best practices including logic development, baseline concepts, critical path analysis, and progress measurement.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
