Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Post Award Coordinator to join a premier higher-education research institution in New York, NY. This role will support the end-to-end administration of active grants and sponsored research programs, ensuring strict adherence to sponsor guidelines and institutional policies.
The ideal candidate possesses strong experience managing federal research awards—particularly NIH grants—and thrives in a fast-paced academic or research environment.
Key Responsibilities

Progress Report Management: Coordinate the end-to-end preparation, review, and submission of Research Performance Progress Reports (RPPRs) and other sponsor-required reporting deliverables.

Timeline & Deliverable Tracking: Develop and manage comprehensive reporting timelines, track required components, and coordinate inputs across faculty, departmental staff, and central research administration offices.

Compliance & Package Review: Thoroughly review report packages for accuracy, completeness, internal consistency, and strict alignment with sponsor guidelines prior to submission.

Subaward Administration: Manage all incoming and outgoing subaward workflows, including subaward initiation, contract modifications, performance monitoring, invoice coordination, closeouts, and ongoing communication with partner institutions.

Financial & Procurement Support: Assist with departmental procurement tasks, specifically purchase order creation, expense tracking, and faculty/staff reimbursements related to grant accounts.
Position Requirements

Experience: Proven administrative experience managing post-award sponsored programs and grants within a higher-education or top-tier research institution environment.

Federal Award Knowledge: Direct experience supporting federal grants and awards, with specific familiarity with NIH guidelines and RPPR submissions highly preferred.

Subaward Oversight: Demonstrated background handling subaward execution, invoice reviews, and institutional collaboration workflows.

Work Schedule: Ability to work 100% onsite (5 days/week) in New York, NY.

Skills: Strong organizational skills, high attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication, and proficiency with financial systems and MS Excel.
