Electrical Technician (ECU Testing)

Our client, a leader in the automotive electronics industry, is seeking a Electrical Technician (ECU Testing) to join their team. As a Electrical Technician (ECU Testing), you will be part of the Engineering Support team supporting ECU testing and validation processes.  

Job Title: Electrical Technician (ECU Testing)

Location: Palo Alto, CA or Irvine, CA)

What's the Job?

• Perform bench level testing of Infotainment and Telematics ECUs, ensuring proper functionality, quality validation, and issue diagnosis in automotive electronics
• Set up and execute test benches, lab equipment, and validation setups
• Conduct functional testing and validation of ECU features such as audio, connectivity, telematics, and UI systems
• Create, execute, and document test cases, analyze results, and report defects
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues using diagnostic tools like oscilloscopes, multimeters, and log analyzers

What's Needed?

• Experience with bench-level electronics testing, particularly in automotive systems
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools such as oscilloscopes and multimeters
• Knowledge of ECU hardware validation and low-level electrical measurements
• Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
