ECU Test Technician

Our client, a leading organization in the automotive electronics industry, is seeking a ECU Test Technician to join their team. As a ECU Test Technician, you will be part of the Engineering Support team supporting vehicle electronics testing and validation processes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: ECU Test Technician

Location: Palo Alto, California

What's the Job?

• Perform bench level testing of Infotainment and Telematics ECUs, ensuring proper functionality, quality validation, and issue diagnosis in automotive electronics
• Set up and operate test benches, lab equipment, and validation setups for ECU testing
• Conduct functional testing and validation of ECU features such as audio, connectivity, telematics, and UI systems
• Create, execute, and document test cases, analyze results, and report defects
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues using diagnostic tools like oscilloscopes, multimeters, and log analyzers

What's Needed?

• Experience with bench level testing of automotive ECUs, particularly Infotainment and Telematics systems
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and log analyzers
• Knowledge of electrical measurements and signal analysis at the low level
• Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
