Laboratory Tech

Our client, a leader in the energy sector, is seeking a Laboratory Tech to join their team. As a Laboratory Tech, you will be part of the Quality Assurance and Quality Control department supporting manufacturing and processing operations. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent teamwork skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title:Laboratory Tech
Location:Channahon, Illinois
Pay Range:$29-32/hr
Contract: 24 months
Shift: Rotating 12-hour swing shift, including nights, weekends and holidays

What's the Job?

  • Perform routine and non-routine laboratory analyses and wet chemistry testing on product and in-process samples.
  • Support laboratory supervisors and chemists in quality assurance and quality control initiatives.
  • Prepare, handle, and process samples to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
  • Operate, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and analytical instruments.
  • Generate, record, and maintain accurate laboratory data and documentation in compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).

What's Needed?

  • Polytechnic degree, diploma, or equivalent technical education in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Technical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Computer literacy and proficiency with standard software applications and laboratory systems.
  • Experience working in a laboratory, manufacturing, or quality control environment is preferred.
  • Familiarity with quality control processes, laboratory testing methods, and analytical instrumentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
