Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE)

Our client, a leading healthcare and medical device organization, is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to join their team. As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be part of the Quality Department supporting the Supplier Quality and Procurement teams. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail and effective cross-functional communication which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE)

Contract: 12 month 

Pay Range: Up to $33/hr

What's the Job?

  • Manage Supplier Change Notifications (SCN), including change impact assessments, internal/external communication, and change implementation
  • Lead material non-conformance investigations, including root cause analysis, risk assessment, and correction activities
  • Manage Supplier Corrective Action Reports (SCAR) through investigation, corrective action, and verification of effectiveness (VOE)
  • Drive supplier development — supplier qualification, new material qualification, and receiving inspection procedure development for new product integration
  • Monitor supplier performance by creating scorecards and maintaining supplier history file accuracy through continuous improvement

What's Needed?

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or related technical field
  • Experience in supplier quality, quality engineering, or quality assurance within a regulated industry (medical device, pharmaceutical, or similar)
  • Working knowledge of root cause investigation tools, CAPA/SCAR processes, and risk assessment methodologies
  • Familiarity with FDA regulations and ISO 13485 quality system requirements
  • Strong communication skills for cross-functional and external supplier collaboration
