Java Developer

Our client, a leading organization in the financial services industry, is seeking a Java Developer to join their team. As a Java Developer, you will be part of the Application Support Department supporting trading systems and real-time applications. The ideal candidate will have strong verbal and written communication skills, the ability to learn quickly, and a proactive approach requiring limited oversight, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Jersey City, NJ

What's the Job?

• Define target state architecture for JADE and develop an implementation plan
• Support the application to ensure it meets performance and resiliency requirements
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to modernize legacy applications
• Work on high-performance Java solutions for real-time trading systems
• Utilize messaging applications like Kafka or AMPST to support system communication

What's Needed?

• Hands-on experience with real-time, distributed applications, preferably trading systems
• Expertise in Java development, especially modernizing legacy systems
• Experience with messaging applications such as Kafka or AMPST
• Knowledge of cloud computing and containerizing applications (desired)
• Understanding of derivatives, traded products, and trading systems (beneficial)
