Project Controls Manager

Our client, a leader in the energy sector specializing in midstream projects, is seeking a Project Controls Manager to join their team.

As a Project Controls Manager, you will be part of the Project Controls Department supporting project teams across a diverse portfolio of industrial energy projects.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, analytical skills, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Project Controls Manager

Location: Houston, Texas (onsite 5 days/week)

Pay Range: $85-100/hour, based on experience 

What's the Job?

• Oversee and standardize project controls functions across multiple projects to ensure consistency and high-quality reporting.
• Lead, train, and mentor project controls professionals to foster a high-performance team environment.
• Establish and enforce portfolio-wide project controls standards including WBS/CBS alignment, cost code structures, and schedule coding.
• Manage project schedules and cost controls using Oracle Primavera Cloud and Oracle cost management systems.
• Support project lifecycle from initiation through closeout by developing comprehensive project controls frameworks and ensuring best practices are followed.

What's Needed?

• Minimum of 10+ years of experience in project controls, cost controls, scheduling, and project management within industrial or midstream energy projects.
• Proficiency in Oracle for project cost management and Oracle Primavera Cloud for scheduling and performance analysis.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop and manage high-performance teams.
• Extensive knowledge of project control functions including risk management, change control, and performance metrics.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills to collaborate effectively across teams and with external vendors.
