Our client is seeking a Principal Splunk Architect to join their team. As a Principal Splunk Architect, you will be part of the Cybersecurity Engineering Tools & Platforms team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, resilience in high-pressure situations, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Principal Splunk Architect
Location:New York, NY (On-Site, 4 days a week)
What's the Job?
- Take ownership of a large-scale, mission-critical Splunk platform central to enterprise observability and cybersecurity.
- Design, develop, and optimize high-throughput data ingestion pipelines and integrations.
- Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and systemic fixes, embedding SRE principles.
- Drive platform reliability, capacity planning, and performance engineering using modern monitoring tools.
- Mentor engineers and influence engineering direction through technical expertise as an individual contributor.
What's Needed?
- Deep, hands-on expertise in Splunk platform engineering and large-scale SIEM environments.
- Extensive experience with Linux/Unix systems, networking fundamentals, and distributed systems.
- Proficiency in programming and scripting languages such as Python, Go, or Java.
- Strong background in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles and automation frameworks.
- Ability to operate independently in high-pressure situations with a focus on automation and scalability.
