Operations Analyst – Trade Finance

Our client, a Financial Services organization, is seeking an Operations Analyst – Trade Finance to join their team. As an Operations Analyst – Trade Finance, you will be part of the Trade Finance Operations team supporting transaction processing and operational excellence initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent stakeholder communication skills which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Jersey City, NJ
Pay Range: $50/hr

What’s the Job?

• Process Letters of Credit and Documentary Collections from issuance through settlement.
• Examine trade documents against ICC rules including UCP, URC, and ISBP.
• Investigate and resolve document discrepancies and transaction issues.
• Analyze operational workflows and identify process improvement opportunities.
• Maintain accurate records and support reporting in a high-volume environment.

What’s Needed?

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
• Experience in Trade Finance Operations with strong knowledge of Letters of Credit and Documentary Collections.
• Understanding of ICC Rules (UCP, URC, ISBP) and trade finance regulations.
• Experience with workflow optimization, operations analysis, or process improvement initiatives.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and risk management skills.
